The Language Advantage: Engineering, Business and Multilingualism in Georgia. A Talk with Dr. Byron Daniels
World Languages and Cultures is partnering with other departments and programs on campus to sponsor speakers who tie together the importance of multilingualism in personal and professional life. In this case, we are partnering with the business school, and hope to partner with the dual-degree engineering program too. Dr. Byron Daniels is owner of High Performance Structures, LLC, which provides
engineering services to the warehousing industry, principally for racking and mezzanines. Dr. Daniels completed his graduate work at the Swiss Federal Polytechnique Institute, Lausanne, Switzerland. He has worked for a number of engineering firms, throughout this country and abroad. Dr. Daniels is bilingual in French and English, and he also speaks Dutch. This lecture should appeal to students interested in business, engineering, and languages.
