Senior thesis exhibitions serve as the capstone experience for art majors completing the studio art concentration. These exhibitions represent the
culmination of a student’s experience in the art program and allow them to develop and implement their own research agenda. The resulting body of work is then prepared and installed for public display.

Sarah Esther Merry is from Birmingham, Ala., and is completing a second
major in religion and philosophy. Merry’s work often combines paint and
ceramics to, in her words, “find hope and beauty even in hard and painful experiences.” Merry is part of the WinShape College Program, BOLD/Outdoor Recreation, attends Seven Hills Fellowship Church, and volunteers at Pruitt
Health Hospice Care.
