Our issue-based group, Dirty River, aims to address the impact of PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) on our local community. Often referred to as "forever chemicals," PFAS is linked to a range of serious health issues, including various diseases and cancers. Notably, the industries responsible for releasing these pollutants are frequently located near socially and economically disadvantaged communities, putting already vulnerable populations at greater risk
