About this Event
Oak Hill & The Martha Berry Museum invites guests of all ages to a Community Day at Possum Trot on Saturday, September 21st, from 12 pm - 4 pm. The event is free for the public and invites visitors to see one of the oldest and most historically significant spots on campus. Docents will be on-site to offer historical information and allow guests access to the chapel, school rooms, and the adjacent Shelton Family Cemetery. Guests will also be able to experience life as a student at Possum Trot in the early 20th century with old-school games, toys, and a weaving activity.
Possum Trot is located at the back of the Berry College campus and can be found by navigating to Redmond Gap Road. Traveling to Possum Trot requires driving down a gravel road that may not be accessible to all vehicles. Please note, the Oak Hill home and The Martha Berry Museum locations will be closed on September 21st.
In the event of inclement weather, Community Day will be canceled. Please refer to Oak Hill & The Martha Berry Museum’s social media for updates regarding the event. If you need more information, contact the Martha Berry Museum at oakhill@berry.edu.
