Imperiled Beauty, an information and art exhibit, showcases the 19 Georgia native plants that are on the federal endangered species list. Each watercolor painting is accompanied by a panel providing information about habitat, bloom time and description, reasons for vulnerability and conservation actions, as well as a map showing where it grows in Georgia. Laura Martin earned a Bachelor of Science degree in botany from the University of Georgia and a certificate in Botanical Art and Illustration from the New York Botanical Gardens. Martin is author of 26 books, including A Naturalist’s Book of Wildflowers (2020).
