A Legacy Of Injustice For People With Intellectual Disabilities
October 17th 11am-12pm in Krannert Ballroom, we welcome authors and disability rights advocates: Gillian Grable and Doug Crandall from the Institute on Human Devlopment and Disability. Book readings featured from Grable's historical fiction based on the powerful story of a women locked up for more than 50 years in Central State Hospital in Milledgeville Ga, and Crandell's expose about the exploitation of employees with intellectual disabilities forced to work under harsh conditions for subminimum wages. Please join us and learn about a social justice movement often left out of the conversation. For more information contact Dr.Michelle Haney mhaney@berry.edu
