Why science matters in early intervention and the role of applied behavior analysis

Dr. Baker Wright, behavior analyst, will discuss the legacy of public schools attempting to address the needs of an increasingly diverse body of students using strategies haphazardly chosen and lacking in scientific validity. He will share his research that uses the science of applied behavior analysis to address federal mandates for empirically based interventions and to provide socially significant outcomes for children in ways that allow for global screening as well as individualized interventions.
