Gift (juried exhibition)
Gift is a juried art exhibition that features work made from across the United States in painting, drawing, printmaking, mixed media, photography, graphic design, and both sculptural and functional ceramics (the primary disciplines taught at Berry). The title of the show borrows from issues discussed in Lewis Hyde’s book, The Gift, in which he compares the reception of an artwork to that of a gift that is received. As such, the artwork plays a unique and privileged role in society and one that fosters community and dialogue.
Juror's talk/reception is Feburary 19 at 5 pm.
Friday, March 9 at 9:00am to 5:00pm
